Alone Together
Al Stevens
Al Stevens is an extremely talented musician,
as is evident on this CD. Utilizing his multi-track studio,
he plays all
of the instruments in the band heard here, and plays them remarkably
well! His selection of songs will have you smiling as you remember
these classics, and, if you’re lucky enough to have a
partner, perhaps dancing to a few.
Al has the ability here to accompany himself on piano and
bass as he leads the way through the songs with his instruments
of choice, playing delicate jazz solos while never straying
so far from the melody that he loses us in the process.
Pour yourself a cocktail, put this CD on, and relax to an
unassuming recording that reminds us that honesty and simplicity
are always effective
