Live
at Island's End Bistro
The Herb Harris Jazz Trio
Drummer/percussionist Herb Harris has returned to Jazz after
many years of symphonic music, Broadway shows, and television
music production. After his early years of traveling with
Vaudeville show and dance bands, Herb worked with Roy Eldridge,
Pee Wee Russell, Pops Foster, Art Hodes, Joe Wilder, Ron
Carter, Walt Levinsky, and Urbie Green. He played with the
New York Philharmonic for 24 years and has returned to his
first love, Jazz.
With the support
of bassist John Lamb (Teddy Wilson, Gene Ammons, Sonny
Stitt, Jimmy Heath, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald,
Peggy Lee) and pianist Richard Drexler (Paquito d’Rivera,
Jeff Berlin, Gary Burton, John Allred, Gato Barbieri, Vic
Damone, Tony Bennett, Woody Herman Orchestra), Herb has a
terrific trio and wonderful “live” recording
to display his talents. You will enjoy this intimate and
relaxed recording of some of your favorite jazz standards,
played by seasoned masters of their craft.
