Bill Allred's Classic Jazz Band most exciting and challenging album. This seventh album for the band is loaded with incredible arrangements and equally incredible playing. A collection of some of the songs this band has been playing for almost ten years, but never recorded, along with some brand-spanking-new charts. This collection is smooth, exciting, and beautifully recorded. With many of Matty Matlock's and Billy Maxted's arrangements and some new ones by Dave Wolpe, Scott Whitfield, Ed Gaston, and Bill Allred, there is a wonderful variety of styles here. The guys are comfortable and confident and each one of them plays with musicality and alertness. This is a terrific representation of The Classic Jazz Band at it's best.
